FRESHLY ROASTED BEANS

Like any other recipe, that demands fresh ingredients coffee is no different from them.  The vitality lies in the rich aroma and savors it provides at the end of the day sipping your delightful and balanced beverage. Roasted beans if kept for long, leave it with a stale taste. You don’t want that in fact, nobody wants that!  Needless to say, the best ingredients come up with the best results.

Pack up a jar of coffee beans when ever you go for expeditions. They don’t weigh much!!

COFFEE GRINDER

The next most important yet substitutable ingredient is a coffee grinder. Don’t worry if you are devoid of them. You just need something that grinds the coffee to powder, not so fine but at least in a coarse manner. It would be okay to switch over a traditional grinder at home.

LAST, the most available ingredient HOT WATER.

Be careful with the temperature of the water. It needs to be around 195-205 degrees Fahrenheit and not a boiling one. In simple words, let the water come to boil and wait for 30-40 seconds and you are ready with it. Be very mindful about the temperature. Water can help extract a lot of solubles from the ground coffee hence enhancing the rich flavor and does not get them scalded.

Let’s Prepare

If you have a coffee maker, you save time. To start with

Place your paper filter on the filter holder of the coffee maker. Make sure your paper filter is clean. Thin or thick, it’s your personal choice.

Now add your ground coffee to the paper filter. 1 tablespoon for one cup of coffee. You can add according to your choice of preference.

Add cold or neutral water to the coffee maker and close the lid and switch it on.

Once you are done making the coffee sit back and enjoy every sip.

Without a coffee maker

If you don’t have a coffee maker don’t worry.

We will do it with Pour -over-coffee method.

First, place your filter paper on the conical flask or something that has a groove. Now fold your filter paper into a cone and place it on the groove of the flask or the utensils you use.

Clean the filter paper by pouring hot water into it so that the taste of paper can be avoided.

Now put the desired amount of ground coffee to the filter and add hot water little by little to the cleaned filter paper filled with ground coffee in a concentric manner.

In the end, keep stirring the concoction till it’s completely filtered.

The whole process takes about 4-5 minutes and you are ready with your cup of coffee.
